Christmas Eve

It was snowing on Christmas Eve which made the night even more magical. We had a yummy dinner at my mom and dad's, opened our Christmas jammies and went to see the festival of lights! We then made it back to our neighborhood to see all the paper sack laterns lit in our cult-a-sac. It created such a peaceful atmosphere with the newly fallen snow. Late at night Santa's jingle bells were heard throughout the neighborhood.

All three girls were going to sleep in Alex's room but when it came time for bed Kennedy opted to stay in her own comfy bed. Probably a better choice for her cuz Alex & Syd are crazy sleepers..all over the place. :)

This was the snow fall at about 1:00am. :)

Who doesn't love a little Mo-Tab?

Friday night we were lucky enough to score tickets to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert with guest performers The King Singers (thx to Marni & Landon). These were the hottest ticket in town!! I guess there were over a million requests for tickets and only 60,000 available over the 4 performances. Marni scored tickets and we were the lucky recepients of the 2 extra she had. It was mayhem trying to even get into the conference center, but was so worth it! The First Presidency were in attendance and were front row. The music was awesome and brought such a great spirit.. I must admit though, Marni and I had fun looking at the big screens watching the different faces the men & women of the choir pull while singing. hee hee. After we went for Sushi...when I say "we" I mean Landon & Carter..Marni and I were hoping for some good noodles but to no avail. It was fun though and the boys love their Sushi. It was a wonderful way to take part celebrating the Christmas season.

Delightful Dinner

Last week we were invited to the Higginson's to enjoy their annual Christmas dinner, which is always fabulous! They put together the best dinner! It was fun to visit with them and the Johnson & Johnson's (he he)and listen to all of Jeff's funny stories.

After dinner we played MAD GAB which is super fun and can get a little competitive. It was boys vs girls and the girls of course pulled it out at the end and won!! Thanks Jeff & Abby for inviting us!

Finally!!

After weeks of trying I think I finally got this video to work. This is Mykee wrapped up in a box to surprise Alex for her birthday (see a few posts below)!! Oh, it was the best!

What a Weekend!

Saturday was super busy for our family. It all started at 8:30am when we ventured out in the snow storm to Orem to attend my mom's work Christmas party for the kids. We watched Surf's Up at the movie theater and was given treat bags and gift bags w/ all the holiday trinkets the little one's desire. Santa made his appearance and the kids put in their wishlist.

Then it was off to the mall to find out what dad wants for Christmas....2 hours later we are in the car headed to Sandy this time to the Festival of Trees. Alex's class decorated and donated a sports-themed tree that we spent a good hour looking for....it was one of the very last rows we decided to tour. Phew...we were worried we weren't going to find it. That place is huge! I love looking at all the trees though and of course we did not get out of there without the kids doing some sort of craft (note the reindeer antlers on their heads). Here is the pic of Alex's class tree.

I thought this was a unique idea for a tree...it was turned upside down and made to be a fairy forest.

Both Carter and I got a kick out of this one..Star Wars is a family favorite.

After the Festival we piled the kids in the car and made a quick stop to a fitness store. The kids wanted to stay in the car and finish watching Home Alone. We allowed it because we could see them from inside the store. Anyway, when we return we find that Kennedy has lost a tooth. WHAT??? She is 4. I feel it is a little early..however, she has been dying to lose a tooth and has secretly wiggled them. Apparently she had a loose one because all it took was Syd getting annoyed with her and hit her mouth...out popped the tooth, no blood, no crying. She wasn't upset by Syd's retaliation..she was psyched!!
Hours before.. all teeth in tact. Ironic I took this random picture at lunch.

After 15 minutes in the car with an upset 3 year old sister...she is spreading the good news!!

She was really excited to call her cousin Easton who just lost a tooth a few weeks ago and she was super jealous!
We made a pit stop at home then off the the Ward Christmas Party....we were all beat by the time we finally made it home for good. Fun weekend! Let the holiday season begin!!!

I Couldn't Resist

Posting these adorable pics of Kennedy & Lily as babies...at the time Chelsea and I were trying to see our flower headbands and wanted our cute babies to be our models. These crack me up everytime I see them..Lily did not enjoy being in a pot!!! Enjoy!!

An Enchanted Evening

Kennedy was invited by her best friend Lily to go see the movie "Enchanted" for Lily's birthday, just the two of them for a special day. They dressed up as their favorite princesses and enjoyed some popcorn and good treats!! They have been friends since they were little babies and love to play together so this was fun for them to be together. After the movie Chelsea & I took the girls to Red Robin to get a bite to eat. The had the best time eating their spaghetti!!! Chels and I were laughing so hard!!! Thanks for a fun night Lily & HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Kennedy's New "Do"

Kennedy has been dying for a hair cut. She wanted her hair to look like her good friend Audrey's. We agreed we would cut it after her appearance as "Belle" on Halloween. I must say she looks adorable!!! Love you and your fabulous new "do" Kenny!!!
