Happy Halloween!

INTRODUCING....

The Midnight Fairy

Belle

Lil' Cheetah

We had a great Halloween! I will post more pics as soon as I can upload them to the slide show.

Hannah Montana

So we were some of the lucky people able to get Hannah Montana tickets...I seriously can't believe how much these tickets were going for. Thank goodness we were able to buy them the day they went on sale (sold out in an hour) and didn't have to pay the high price that scalpers were asking. The week before the concert she announced she would do another show on Friday night (our tickets were for Sat afternoon) those tickets sold out in 15 minutes!!! Before the show I took the girls over to Gateway to shop for a minute and guess who we ran into? Kenny Ortega...for those of you who don't know who he is, he is the man behind High School Musical director/choreographer) needless to say that was an exciting moment for the me and the girls too, we love HSM! I only wish I had taken a picture. Oh well. I must admit I was just as excited as the girls to see the concert...I enjoy her. :) Here is a clip of her opening number and you can hear all the million little girls screaming their heads off!! It was SO LOUD! Kennedy was a little scared by it.

Outside the arena

Signing a poster for Hannah

So the concert proved to be a little long for Kennedy...she was excited for the Jonas Brothers and Hannah, but fell asleep during Miley's performance. She must have been super tired because it was so loud!!

A Reason

why I love being a mom...

Kennedy: "Mom, I want blonde hair!!"
Me: "You do have blonde hair, it's called Strawberry Blonde."
Kennedy: "But your hair is ice cream. I want to be ice cream blonde."
Me: "When your older you can have any hair color you want. Now go brush your teeth so we can watch Hannah Montana before bedtime".
Kennedy: "Mom, you are the best mom in the whole wold(world)!!"

Another ER Visit

I got word today that Bryton had a mishap on his bike yesterday and went to the ER for stitches and a cast on his hand. Hopefully nothing is broken. He said that they will be able to tell next week and put the cast on as a precaution. What is ironic about that is just earlier this week I was looking at some pics of him when he was six and ran across this pic. We had taken it when he broke his arm after falling out of his grandma's tree and I was thinking how lucky we were that he hadn't had a cast since. ;) hmmm.

Witches Night Out

Last night, I went w/ some of my friends to Witches Night Out at Gardner Village. SO FUN! It is a night of good food and shopping around the village! Typically, most women dress as witches on this night to shop...we decided next year we will be decked out! It is so fun to see all the variety of witches that shop..the good, the bad, and the ugly!
Here we are posing w/ one of the many stuffed witches around the village.

In Loving Memory of Shannon

We received news today that Carter's cousin Shannon died last night and the cause is unknown. She leaves behind 2 young boys ages 10 and 5. Please pray for these boys, not only have they lost their beloved mom, they lost their dad to cancer a few months ago. She was loved so much and will be sorely missed!

Syd "NOSE" Better

My Sunday started out completely routine. We had Stake Conference today so Carter left at 7:30 this morning to attend the Priesthood session. I slept in a bit and then decided to get up and start to get ready so that we could make the 10:00 session. One by one the girls woke up. I was helping them get ready when Carter came home from his session and started to make breakfast. I sent the girls downstairs for breakfast as soon as I had finished doing their hair. We were on schedule to make it back to the church about 15 min early..which meant we were going to get soft seats!! I was upstairs finishing my make-up and hair. Alex delivered my breakfast to me so I could try to eat and get ready at the same time to keep the schedule. Suddenly Carter rushed up stairs to our bathroom with Syd in his arms and she is whimpering. He set her on the counter and quickly opens the drawer and grabs tweezers...I asked what happened?? He said Syd had taken off one of the soft squishy door stoppers on our cabinet doors and stuffed one up her nose. Up her nose???? WHAT? Syd had never attempted to stuff anything in places they don't go, so I was bewildered.

Carter laid her on the bed and tried to see if he could grab it w/ the tweezers. No luck. We couldn't even see it. Off we went to the Urgent Care in our Sunday best. We filled out the paper work, and then told that they do not have the equipment needed to extract the object. By this time she had sneezed about 35 times and her eyes were constantly watering. We then headed to the ER, waited about 25 min and then we were able to see the doctor. He looked up her nose w/ his light and saw the stopper. He had me look too...I couldn't believe that she really stuffed it! OW! Poor thing. He grabbed 3 other men to help hold her down while they used this needle-like tool w/ a small ballon that inflated to enlarge the area in the nostril and pop the object out! Done in 30 seconds! What a relief!! Carter congratulated Syd on being the first girl we have taken to the Emergency Room! Needless to say we did not make Stake Conference today. Syd now "nose" better than to stuff things up her cute little nose!! :)

Love me or Hate me

Okay, so this is becoming a weekly thing. I have heard from several of you that you like when I post the bargains I find, and that I need to list where I find them, so here it goes. The watch I found last week was from Ross, the rings from Target. However, this week's find is from Old Navy. I was with my sister last night and she had the inside scoop that Old Navy just marked down a bunch of stuff to 6.97, 3.97, or .97...needless to say, we were there in a heartbeat. I bought 7 shirts. If I had bought them full price I would have paid $102.50 +tax, but most of you know that's not my style. ;) My total came to......$22.76!!!!!!!! I don't know if the mark downs are state/nation wide but they are most definitely at the Provo location. There was a lot of selection and had I more time I probably would have bought more. This markdown wasn't limited just to shirts, it was shorts, pants, sweater, tees, yoga pants, sweat pants, everything!

THE Dress

This was my dress that I wore when I was 4 years old. I remember wanting to wear it every Sunday and loving the fluffiness. My mom, of course, still has it and now it is the "fav" dress up at gramee's house. Nice thing about it is that the slip and dress are not hooked together so it makes for 2 outfits and no fights! I think they look adorable...hmmm I wish I was 3. ;)

My lil' Kangaroo's

Dave, Anne, and Lauren were in town for conference weekend and the girls had a blast playing w/ Lauren! Bouncing is what the kids do best!

Bargain of the Day

So I thought it would be fun to occasionally post some of the bargains I find. Today it was this watch. I was in need of a casual watch. One that would transition easily from workout mode to jeans/t-shirt mode. :) Anyway, I found this watch by Nike. It has this cool laser etched pattern on the band. It is listed at $125.00 retail and roughly $70.00 on other internet sites and I bought it for $16.99!!! I know. Ridiculous!

Happy Birthday Mom!!

Great Minds Think Alike???

I was browsing through some pics took in December 05 and found this funny one of Bryton w/ his tongue sticking out! I had to laugh because that is one of Carter's favorite poses.....as seen above. Like father, like son. :) I love my cute boys!!
